RIVERSIDE SPEEDWAY

SALUTES IT’S CHAMPIONS

The 2007 racing season officially came to an end at the P.A.S.S. sanctioned Riverside Speedway in Groveton, New Hampshire, as close to 400 drivers, crewmembers, family, fans and sponsors, filled the White Mountain Chalet Catering House in Berlin, New Hampshire.

A fantastic prime rib buffet and all the fixings were served to the banquet goers, and then a salute to the track champions and competitors was on tap. By the time everything was done, over $26,420 in cash and prizes was presented to the eight divisions that were on hand.

Former track owner, CJ Robinson presented a stirring farewell speech to his friends of over twenty years. When he finished, he was honored by a full fledge standing ovation, and cheers from everyone in the building. The resounding applause was a fitting end to his tenure. Following his speech, new owner, Harry Franssen took to the podium and presented some details of his plans for the future of Riverside Speedway. He also received a resounding round of applause, as excitement grew from his speech, one that stated, that “We are going to continue to take care of our own!”

Master of Ceremonies, Dick Therrien then presented the awards, taking the time to honor each recipient with some special words. The 2007 champions included Corey Mason (Late Models), Jonathan Ledger (Outlaw Sportsman), Luke Shannon (Super Stocks), Troy Randall (Street Stocks), Vanessa Brown (Angels), Josh Lafleur (Cyclones) and Eric Hall (Dwarf Cars).

Riverside Speedway management would like to thank all the sponsors, race teams, crewmembers, race fans and employees for a great 2007 racing season, and are looking forward to a tremendous 2008.
