TEAM UP FOR UNIQUE WEEKEND

25 LAP HUMAN ENDURO ON TAP

 

 

            Riverside Speedway and David’s House will be teaming up for a very unique and special racing and fundraising weekend, August 12th and 13th, at the Northern New Hampshire race track in Groveton.

 

            David’s House is located in Lebanon, New Hampshire, near the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center . David’s House provides a home away from home, for families with children being treated through CHAD, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center . David’s House provides space for families to be together, and is complete with bedrooms, bathrooms, books, toys, television and more. Their fully equipped kitchens allow guests to prepare their own meals. This wonderful service has a suggested fee of $10.00 per night, but arrangements may be made for those guests unable to pay the fee. Tax deductible donations may be sent to David’s House, P.O. Box 660 , Lebanon , NH 03766-0660 .

 

            Track promoter, Dick Therrien has put together a weekend full of great racing and fund raising activities including kiddee race car rides, and a huge Wildman Auto Daredevil Stunt Show, plus the Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Angels, Daredevils, Cyclones, North Country Dwarf Cars will all be racing, plus $100 to win Spectator Drags. All drivers and fans will be encouraged to bring canned goods, paper products and non-perishable items to donate to David’s House. The race drivers will also be going through the grandstands, passing the helmets to raise funds for David’s House.

 

            Then on Sunday, the first annual David’s House / Riverside Speedway Point Fund, Walk-A-Thon will be held. Race teams and race fans will be collecting pledges from their communities. 50% of all monies will be donated to David’s House, and the other 50% will be placed in the Riverside Speedway point fund that will be distributed to the race teams at the season ending awards banquet. The Walk-A-Thon will last for one hour, and will be held on the Speedway .

 

            Immediately following the Walk-A-Thon will be the first ever 25 Lap, Human Enduro. This race will feature $200 to win, $100 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd place prizes. All contestants must walk the 25 laps, with absolutely NO jogging or running. Any of either will be an automatic disqualification. The fee to enter the Human Enduro is just $35, and all proceeds will once again be split between David’s House and the Riverside Speedway point fund. Both events are open to the public.

2.         50% OFF EACH TEAMS PLEDGES GO TO DAVID’S HOUSE, THE OTHER 50% GOES INTO THE RESPECTIVE DIVISIONS POINT FUND

 

2A.      DAREDEVILS MONEY EARNED WILL GO TOWARDS BANQUET TICKETS AND AWARDS FOR THE DAREDEVIL DRIVERS

 

3.         TEAMS CAN RECRUIT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.

 

4.         THE WALK-A-THON WILL LAST ONE HOUR, AND WILL BE HELD ON THE SPEEDWAY

 

5.         PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE TEAM THAT RAISES THE MOST MONEY IN EACH DIVISION.

 

6.         INDIVIDUALS AND FANS MAY PARTICIPATE AND PLEDGE THEIR MONIES AND PLEDGES TO ANY RACE TEAM THAT THEY WOULD LIKE.

 

7.         ALL MONEY MUST BE TURNED IN AT REGISTRATION TIME ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 13TH
