Popular Cletus, "The Wonder Dog" the self proclaimed Riverside
Speedway Mascot, went to doggie heaven this past Monday afternoon, the
result on a terrible bout with a pancreatic stomach virus. Cletus, a
beautiful Black Lab was eleven years old.
Cletus loved coming to the race track every Friday. He looked
forward to the weekend, and all the excitement that surrounded it. His
favorite times were leftover hour after the races, and rummaging under the bleachers on Sunday mornings. He loved going for walks with his mommy, and just running the grounds when traffic was minimal. He was an avid greeter and watchdog, but most importantly, he was a good friend to all.
Cletus leaves behind a very special sister, Daisy, and brother,
Dozer, both whom miss him immensely. He also leaves behind his Mommy, Kelly, of which he absolutely adored and idolized, along with the rest of the family members.
Cletus was an integral part of the Therrien family since he came
home as a puppy eleven years ago, and will forever be remembered as Cletus "The Wonder Dog!"
