BRYAN MASON WINS WILD RIVERSIDE

LATE MODEL FEATURE

It was another great night of racing at the P.A.S.S. sanctioned, Riverside Speedway in Groveton , New Hampshire , as another packed house and pit area graced the Northern New Hampshire speedplant. Winners on Central Asphalt, Passumpsic Savings Bank night included Bryan Mason, Derek Ming, Denny Degreenia, Troy Randall, Dickie Stanley, Cody Hodge and Jeff Ainsworth.

Five cautions and one red flag was the story in the Gilmour Jeep / Ford / Dodge Late Model main event as Bryan Mason withstood all challengers to pick up his first win of the season. The first fifteen laps went off without a hitch with lots of side by side racing, when the caution came out for a minor spin. Three cautions later, and still on lap sixteen, the field clicked off several laps until all hell broke loose on the frontstretch, and a nine car pileup sent the field scattering. The final caution came for a wild wreck over turn one that once again sent the field scrambling once again, with the leaders narrowly avoiding the wreck. The final restart was posted as a single file restart as the track was deemed quite slick in the outside groove. Mason bolted home to the checkers followed by his brother Corey Mason, Tim Churchill, Owen Wimble and Jeff Marshall. Heat wins went to Bob Ailes Sr., Bryan Mason and Ryan Delabruere.

Derek Ming continued his winning ways in the S.T. Griswold Concrete Outlaw Sportsman. Ming held off a late race challenge from Jonathan Ledger. Reggie Theroux, Jeff Marshall and Doug Laleme followed the duo home. Ming also won the lone qualifying round.

The Budweiser Super Stocks once again had the crowd on the edge of their seats as no less than seven cars came to the stripe under a blanket, looking for that coveted checkered flag. When the final finish was posted, Denny Degreenia scored the hard fought victory over Luke Shannon and Jeff Fysh. Rounding out the top five were Michael Hughes and David Ofsuryk Jr. Degreenia and Ofsuryk won their respective qualifiers.

The River Bend RV Street Stocks were much calmer this week and thrilled the crowd with their side by side racing. Troy Randall picked up win number four on the season, and twenty-five more bonus pounds, as he edged out rookie Shawn Swallow for the win. Tyler Therrien, Alex Theroux and Michael Smith placed third through fifth. Chris Meunier and Alex Theroux carried the heat checkers.

The Wildman Auto Daredevils ran their usual pair of features. The Rookie main went to Dickie Stanley . Stanley held off a strong late race challenge from Dilyn Switser. Cameron Bowen, Curtis Randall and Brendan Hunt completed the top five. The Veterans feature saw Cody Hodge cruise to victory over Jesse Switser, Brandon Lambert, Kyle Pembroke and Kristopher Russell.

The Jiffy mart Cyclones put on a whale of a show in their 100 lap main event. Jeff Ainsworth rolled to a close win over Ben Bedor. Andy Simpson, Dean Switser  Jr. and Scott Marshall.
