THIS IS ANOTHER RIVERSIDE RUMBLINGS

            Welcome to the inaugural edition of Riverside Rumblings for 2007. Things are progressing quite nicely as we head into the New Year. We are working very hard on getting everything ready for the racing season ahead. It looks like it could be one of the best seasons in the tracks history. It looks like we are going to have tremendous growth in many divisions this season, plus the all new Outlaw Sportsman class looks pretty strong. Lots of familiar faces are returning to Riverside this season after either sitting on the sidelines for a few years, or venturing off to some other facility. This is very exciting to see these drivers and their fans returning to their roots.

            If you missed the 1^st ever Pre-Hangover 150, you missed a very exciting event. So many of our drivers that didn’t bring a vehicle to race were wishing they had by the conclusion of the day. The race was a tremendous success all the way around, and will probably be held again around the same time. Lots of people have asked about running a winter series, but I feel it would take away from the novelty of this event.

RULES – REGISTRATION FORMS – SLAB AGREEMENTS AVAILABLE

            Check out the website, www.riversidespeedway.org or .com. All the rules, registration forms and slab agreements are now available. Angels rules will be posted in the next few days, as will Dwarf Car Rules.

NEW SLAB AGREEMENT FOR LMS & OUTLAW SPORTSMAN TEAMS

            Prices will remain the same for slab rental in 2007 for all divisions except for Late Models and Outlaw Sportsman. The full season price for a slab is $200. There is a change for Late Models and Outlaw Sportsman this year. The rate is $140 for their schedule of 8-9 races. That way, they can be used by the other division on off nights. Any team that is running both divisions may purchase a slab at full season price of $200. Teams have the option to buy slabs for full season, but that doesn’t make a lot of sense. Teams that purchased slabs last year have first choice again for 2007. All slabs must be paid for by April 30^th, or they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE TO RESERVE NUMBERS

            Registration is now taking place for all divisions at Riverside Speedway . Forms are available on the website. To reserve last year’s number, you have until February 10, 2007. If I have not received your license registration application with payment by February 10, 2007, numbers will be dispersed on a first come, first serve basis.

NON-COMPETITOR: $65.00 IF PURCHASED AFTER 4/1/07

DAREDEVILS, ANGELS, CYCLONES, DWARF CARS

DRIVER: $35.00 IF PURCHASED BY 4/1/07

DRIVER: $45.00 IF PURCHASED AFTER 4/1/07

NON-COMPETITOR: $55.00 IF PURCHASED BY 4/1/07

NON-COMPETITOR: $65.00 IF PURCHASED AFTER 4/1/07

2007 SCHEDULE IS ALMOST COMPLETE

            Watch the website for the tentative 2007 schedule by the end of the week. I am wrapping up negotiations on one more item and then I will be ready to release tentative. Please understand that the word tentative means subject to change, but schedule should be very close to being finalized.

            It will be a very good schedule designed to meet the needs of race teams and spectators, as well as goals of management. All events will be point counting events, but once again this season, there will be no points for the Daredevils. Most Friday night events will carry a Saturday night rain date, and we will start the season off trying a Sunday rain date in the event of a Saturday night rainout. This could change immediately if proved to be financially unsuccessful by management.

            Check out this website. It features local sports from throughout Northeastern Vermont and New Hampshire . It’s a great new website, and it will soon have an auto racing section on it. It will have racing articles, links to race tracks, weekly results and a whole lot more. Possibility in the future of a weekly or daily audio racing segment. It’s a free site, check it out.
