SWALLOW, SMITH AND BROWN

SCORE VICTORIES AT RIVERSIDE

Mother Nature did her best to try and postpone the racing activities at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, New Hampshire this past Saturday night, but thanks to some great racing and limited caution flags, all races were run with the exception of the Outlaw Sportsman main event.

Winners on Leo Enos Landscaping Night included Nathan Swallow, Michael Smith, Vanessa Brown, Cody Hodge and Dilyn Switser.

The Outlaw Sportsman main event will be made up on Saturday, June 23rd. They will run a 50 lap main event, with double purse for all drivers in attendance on June 2nd. Jonathan Ledger won the qualifying heat.

Once again the Budweiser Super Stocks put on a great show for the crowd. Brian Middleton led all the way to the tech line where is first place finish was nullified for a weight infraction. Second place finisher, Nathan Swallow was handed the win. Third place finisher Ron Watson also failed post race inspection, being too light at the scales. The top five ended up Swallow, David Ofsuryk Jr., Luke Shannon, Jeff Fysh and Denny Degreenia. Heat checkers flew for Swallow, Watson and Shannon .

Michael Smith grabbed his career first victory in the River Bend RV Street Stocks. Smith held off a hard charge by last week’s winner Troy Randall, and won by three car lengths. Michael Moore, William Hennequin and Shawn Swallow completed the top five. Moore and Smith captured their respective heat wins.

The Leo Enos Landscaping Angels saw another first time winner, Vanessa Brown. Brown inherited the lead with two laps remaining when then leader, Miranda Gervais and runner-up Kate Demar got together. Gervais ended up on her roof over the top of turn one. This ended both drivers night, as they were relegated to the final two places in the final rundown. Following Brown to victory lane were Traci Nelson, Lindsy Rexford, Dayna Randall and Michelle Tierney.

The Wildman Auto Daredevil Youth Racers put on a great show once again, as only a couple minor cautions dotted the main events. Dilyn Switser won a spirited battle with Brendan Hunt in the Rookie main. Manville Powers III raced home third ahead of Kyle Pembroke and Curtis Randall. In the Veteran’s feature, Cody Hodge edged Jesse Switser in what was a great two car battle for nearly twenty laps. The battle ended in the tech line with Switser being DQ’d for having illegal tires.
