NORTH COUNTRY DWARF CARS RETURN TO
RIVERSIDE SPEEDWAY IN 2006

3/19/06

Riverside Speedway and the North Country Dwarf Cars organization have reached an agreement that will see a six event series for the group to return to the high banked 1/4 speedplant in New Hampshire.

The group met with Riverside Speedway promoter, Dick Therrien on Sunday, March 19th to discuss a possible return to the track after an absence of a couple of seasons. The Dwarf Cars were dropped from the schedule a few years ago, when the group split, leaving very few cars for each organization to compete with. But now, there is pretty good interest in returning with a decent field of cars to compete in a short season series.

"I received a phone call from one of the group members, Eric Hall, last week. We put together a meeting site and I laid out a proposal from Riverside that I felt we could conceivably put together. I was impressed by the number of teams that showed up at the meeting, and I was more impressed by the enthusiasm of the group as a whole. I put together a schedule of six events for them, and ironically it didn't conflict with any of their other plans. I personally feel that the North Country Dwarf Car organization will be a nice addition to our plans for 2006. This is a win, win situation for both entities stated Therrien."

The North Country Dwarf Cars will be competing on Sunday, May 21st, Friday, June 23rd, Saturday, July 8th, Friday, July 14th, Saturday, August 19th, and Friday, September 15th.
