DICK THERRIEN TAKES OVER
REIGNS AT RIVERSIDE SPEEDWAY
In
an agreement reached on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, Riverside Speedway owner,
CJ Robinson has turned over the Northern New Hampshire Speedplant to his
General Manager, Dick Therrien for the 2006 racing season.
"Therrien
has signed a one year lease agreement, and has taken over all of the day to
day activities" stated Robinson. "Dick did a fantastic job stepping
in last year, and I am positive that he will continue to rebuild and
strengthen Riverside Speedway. His marketing skills, as well as his
communication skills got us on the right path last year, and now by taking
over the Speedway, I feel he will be able to take it to the next level. I
still will be there for him as needed, but it will be on an as need
basis."
"I
am looking forward to the challenge. This is a tremendous opportunity for me,
and I hope to make the best of it. CJ has decided to retire from the Speedway
as the long ride from Massachusetts each week has taken a toll on him. It
won't be much different from last season except that all the responsibility
will fall squarely on my shoulders" said Therrien. "We took
tremendous strides forward in 2005, and this year we will be moving on to a
much higher level!" Most of my employees will be returning, and I am
not looking to make many changes to our program this season. We came so far in
2005 on a positive note that it certainly would make no sense to rock the
boat.
Riverside
Speedway opens their 42nd season on Saturday, May 20th. The tentative 2006
Riverside Speedway schedule and all other pertinent information can be found
