It was a beautiful day for the races at the PASS sanctioned Riverside Speedway.  I wish there would have been fewer mosquitoes, but with all the rain we’ve had lately I guess we have to put up with them.  A devastating wreck happened in the Super Stocks, with only 2 laps to go.  Jason Emerson hit the wall hard along with Denny Degreenia both drivers were transported to the hospital .  No further information was available at press time.

The Daredevil Novice division started the evening off.  Shauna Randall started on the pole, with Randy Whittum. outside.  Randall took the lead as Nick Miller moved into 3rd.  On lap 5 Miller overtook the 2nd spot, and on lap 10 captured the lead battling around lap traffic.  On lap 14, Nick Gilcris moved to 3rd.  Miller took the win followed by Randall and Gilcris.

In the Daredevil Veteran division Lyndsay Christman started on the pole, with Keith Lord outside.  Christman took the lead.  On lap 3 Brett Gervais moved to the 3rd spot.  Christman and Lord tangled in turn 2 on lap 5 and recover.  Brandon Lambert rockets to the lead.  Dilyn Switser moves to 2nd.  Christman goes off turn 1 on lap 6, bringing out the caution.  She is OK, and returns to the track.  Lambert takes the restart, and Gervais moves to 2nd.  On lap 8 Kyle Pembroke moves to 3rd, and overtakes 2nd on lap 10.  Jesse Switser moves to 3rd.  The caution flies for fluid on the track on lap 14 as nearly everyone slides through turns 3 and 4.  Lambert takes the restart.  Lambert takes the win, followed by Jesse Switser and Kyle Pembroke.

Ciara McCoy started on the pole for the Dwarf Cars with Jim Barker outside.  Barker took the lead, David Hartshorn moved to 2nd and Bobby Riley to 3rd.  Riley quickly moved to the lead.  Hartshorn goes over turn 2 on lap 2.  Riley takes the restart.  Eric Hall is black flagged for a bumper dragging.  Anthony Leary moved to 3rd on lap 9.  Ernie Laplant overtakes 3rd on lap 11 and 2nd on lap 12.  Dana Huoppi moves to 3rd on lap 21.  Laplant takes the lead on lap 22.  Riley gets stuck in lap traffic on the last lap and instead of 2nd, ends up 5th.  Laplant takes the win followed by Huoppi and Barker.

Ralph Jesseman started on the pole for the Street Stocks, with Daniel Gooden outside.  Jesseman took the lead.  Gooden drops back quickly, giving 2nd to Kevin Whittum Jr, and 3rd to Tyler Therrien.  The yellow flies on lap 1.  Jesseman takes the restart.  Therrien gets loose and Andrew Fecteau moves to 3rd.  Whittum takes the lead on lap 2.  A bunch of cars get together on lap 3 with Jesseman hitting the backstretch wall.  Michael Smith takes the restart and Alex Theroux moves to 2nd.  On lap 5 Cody Hodge moves to 3rd.  Hodge and Theroux get together on lap 11.  Smith again takes the restart as Shawn Swallow moves to 2nd. Chris Caron overtakes 3rd on lap 12.  Theroux and Gooden get together on lap 18.  Once again it is Smith to the lead.  Gooden and Theroux again spin on lap 20.  Smith takes the lead as Tori Delabruere moves to 3rd.  Caron get into Delabruere on lap 21.  Single file restart.  Smith takes the win followed by Swallow and Whittum.

Jason Emerson started on the pole, for the Super Stocks, with Allyn Briggs outside.  Briggs took the lead, but Emerson quickly regained.  On lap 2 Dean Switser Jr moved to 2nd.  Jeff Fysh moved to 3rd on lap 4.  On lap 12 Matt Carbone moved to 3rd.  He overtook 2nd on lap 22 after going several laps door to door with Fysh.  On lap 25 Jason Kenison moved to 3rd, but hit the wall on lap 28 after locking bumpers with Switser.  Carbone takes the restart as Emerson hits the backstretch wall pretty hard.  Denny Degreenia tries to avoid, but hits the wall and Emerson putting his car on its side as he is hit by Switser.  As emergency crews moved in to get everyone out a radiator hose on Emerson’s car burst sending a cloud of hot steam and water at them.  Several emergency workers were injured.  Emerson was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center via DHART helicopter.  Degreenia was taken to Weeks Memorial Hospital.  No further info was available at press time.  The race was called giving Carbone the win followed by Fysh and Jason Rogers.

Hodgdon regains 2nd on lap 10, then takes the lead on lap 12.  Corey Mason moves to 3rd on lap 16.  Dave Simpson’s car shuts down on the back stretch.  Hodgdon takes the lead as Corey Mason moves to 2nd.  Reno Gervais moved to 3rd on lap 19.  Mason takes the lead on lap 22.  The yellow flies on lap 23 for Grant Folsom with a broken rear end.  Mason takes the lead, Gervais moves to 2nd, and Mike Kenison to 3rd.  On lap 38 Gervais takes the lead and the win followed by Corey Mason and Kenison.

The Cyclones capped off the evening.  Kevin Whittum Jr. started on the pole, with Kristopher Russell outside.  Whittum took the lead, but it wasn’t long till Charlie Rockwell moved to the lead.  Rockwell was on top most of the race until Jamie Swallow Jr. moved to the lead.  It looked like Swallow would have it, then with only 2 laps to go Swallow lost a rear wheel causing him to fall back to 17 overall.  Rockwell chalked up another win followed by Anthony Hill, Rick Utley Jr, Shaun Stetson and Loren Vear.
